Plane and Jig Making

Duration: Week-end
Location: The Little Surrenden Workshops

General Course Content
This course has been designed to provide you with the opportunity to make the special planes and jigs essential for cabinet makers, restorers and fine woodworkers.

Students will have the opportunity to make the following planes: Side shooting, scraper and scrub. And the following woodworking jigs and aids: Scratch stock, veneer hammer, shooting board, bench hook, winding strips, oil stone box and strop.

All materials and donor planes will be provided and are included in the course fee. In addition, a light lunch will be provided on both days together with tea and coffee.
